About Dr. Jamison

I received my Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Cincinnati in 1991. I graduated from Xavier University with a Master of Education Degree in 1998 and completed Xavier's clinical endorsement certificate program in 1999.  I earned my Doctor of Education Degree with a clinical specialization from Nova Southeastern University in 2003 as well as an executive certificate in school justice partnerships and diversion pathways from Georgetown University in 2019. 

In addition to being a licensed educator, I am a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) -  #E.000C7816 and a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) - #S.00016704 in the state of Ohio.   

In addition to my 27 years of experience in education, I have 20 years of experience in counseling with 10 years in community-based mental health and 10 years in private practice.  Since 2004, I have been practicing counseling utilizing approaches in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Person-Centered Counseling, mindfulness and Solution-Focused Therapy.  I also incorporate value assessment and goal setting in my approach towards helping clients utilize healthy coping strategies.  

My clientele for counseling primarily include young adults, working professionals, college students, adolescents, middle age men, and clientele needing support for parenting, depression, anxiety and relationship issues. 

I am currently on panel for employee assistance programs including Optum, Aetna, Mutual of Omaha, and All One Health

I have over 15 years experience with consultation in the field of education and in the areas of strategic planning, labor relations and systems-based collaboration for people-serving agencies and organizations.
